Daphne and Michelle's shared passion for the art of photography has led to 10 years documenting life's celebrations and important memorable milestones. They respect the importance of a wedding being the ultimate gathering of friends and family and feel privileged to be a part of the festivities. Their unobtrusive approach allows them to capture spontaneous and candid moments, and find warmth in more formal shots. They use film cameras such as Rolleiflex, Leica, and Widelux which create timeless black and white images. Colorful moments are captured with Canon digital. Their work has been published in The Knot and Town & Country.
Daphne Youree comes from LI New York and now resides in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. She received her BA in Fine Arts from Sarah Lawrence College and a Masters in Photography from FAMU University in Prague Czech Republic. She's had numerous exhibits in fine art/documentary in Prague, NY and Long Island. She worked as a photojournalist for a local paper. She also worked for Fashion photographer Arthur Elgort for many years. She has assisted various wedding and fashion photographers. She loves working with people, photographing people, having new and interesting experiences through photography.
Michelle Ocampo, originally from Southern California, studied Photography and Art History in Los Angeles and Paris. New York City called and Michelle came to assist several notable portrait and fashion photographers. Her approach to photography is to poise herself as intimate spectator and document the fleeting. In her work as a freelance photographer her clients include; Vogue, Allure, and Vanity Fair. She collects vintage cameras and airline miles.
